Lauren Alger
Lauren Alger, PE, ENV SP, M.ASCE. National Director of Sustainable Design at STV, is a civil engineer experienced in supporting LEED-certified and Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI) award-winning projects. Lauren promotes sustainable design practices with a focus on greenhouse gas emission analyses and reduction efforts, while working closely with STV’s Digital Advisory teams to develop tools and processes to effectively measure, track, and reduce emissions within project designs. Lauren led the multidisciplinary team that developed STV’s new Embodied Carbon Action Plan, acting as the first step in fulfilling the firm’s Structural Engineers 2050 (“SE 2050”) Commitment to collect, analyze, and reduce embodied emissions within structural building systems. Through her SE 2050 leadership role, Lauren launched ASCE Infrastructure 2050 which expands the scope to prioritize various infrastructure systems.

Kritika Kharbanda
Kritika leads the sustainability initiatives at Henning Larsen’s NYC office . Lying at the intersection of architecture, sustainability and technology, her work focuses on detailed environmental analytics for evidence-based design, certifications, and furthering R&D. Kritika specialized in Energy and Environments from Harvard GSD with cross-enrollment at MIT and was a social innovation fellow at Harvard Kennedy School.

Fiona Cousins
Fiona is Arup’s Americas Region Chair, a member of the Arup Group Board, and an Arup Fellow – a life-long, honorary title awarded to exceptional leaders in the firm who demonstrate world-class vision and initiative through their work. Before becoming Americas Chair at Arup, a leading global sustainable development consultancy, Fiona served as the Deputy Chair of the Digital Executive and the Automation Leader for the firm with the mission of advancing digital transformation and sustainable development. She is a mechanical engineer by profession and has worked on a wide range of award-winning projects across the globe, including the US Embassy in London and Fulton Street Station in New York among others.
